People seek counselling at different stages of life and for many different reasons.

Some are navigating emotional overwhelm or significant life transitions, others are experiencing relationship difficulties or seeking support in understanding themselves and others better.

While every person's experience is unique, these are the areas in which I most commonly work.

YOUNG ADULTHOOD
Identity • Direction • Independence

Are you feeling anxious about your future, uncertain about your direction, or struggling to find your place as you navigate adulthood?

Young adulthood is a time of enormous change. As you become more independent and make important decisions about study, work, relationships, and your future, it's not uncommon to experience anxiety, self-doubt, or uncertainty.

Anxiety often emerges during periods of adaptation, transition, and uncertainty. Together, we make sense of what's happening beneath the surface, helping you better understand yourself, build confidence in your decisions, and move into adulthood with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

"Everyone else seems to know where they're going. I'm still trying to work out who I am."

ADULTHOOD & LIFE TRANSITIONS
Responsibility • Relationships • Resilience

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life, struggling with anxiety or burnout, or finding it increasingly difficult to balance the many roles and responsibilities you carry?

Life rarely asks us to carry just one thing at a time. Careers, relationships, parenting, finances, family responsibilities, and our own expectations of ourselves often overlap, leaving little space to pause or catch our breath. While these responsibilities can bring meaning and fulfilment, they can also leave us feeling stretched beyond our capacity to cope.

Anxiety often emerges as life's demands gradually outpace our capacity to respond. Together, we slow things down, make sense of what's happening beneath the surface, and develop practical, sustainable ways of moving forward that help you navigate life's changing demands with greater clarity, steadiness, and capacity.

MIDLIFE & LATER LIFE
Purpose • Authenticity • Growth

Are you finding yourself reflecting on what matters most, navigating significant life changes, or wondering what this next stage of life could look like?

Midlife and later adulthood often bring a shift in perspective. As roles change and life evolves, many people begin considering what matters most, how they want to spend the years ahead, and the legacy they hope to leave through their relationships, values, and contributions.

Retirement, children becoming independent, changing health, caring for ageing parents, bereavement, and other significant life transitions can all prompt this period of adjustment and adaptation.

Anxiety often emerges during periods of adaptation, transition, and reorientation. Together, we create space to make sense of these experiences and move forward with renewed clarity, authenticity, and a sense of purpose.

"I'm beginning to think less about what I've achieved, and more about what really matters."

RELATIONSHIPS
Connection • Communication • Growth

Are you finding yourself caught in difficult relationship patterns, struggling to communicate, or feeling disconnected from the people who matter most?

Relationships don't come with a blueprint. The ways we communicate, navigate conflict, express our needs, and respond to others are shaped over time by our experiences. The encouraging part is that these patterns—and the skills that support healthy relationships—can continue to develop throughout our lives.

Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity while developing practical ways of communicating, relating, and responding that foster greater understanding, connection, and authenticity.

NEURODIVERGENCE (ADHD & AUTISM)
Understanding • Compassion • Authenticity

Are you an adult whose life is shaped by ADHD or autism, or a partner or family member wanting to better understand and support a loved one?

Neurodivergence isn't something to be fixed. It offers a different way of experiencing, processing, and responding to the world. While it often brings creativity, passion, and strengths, it can also require new ways of navigating sensory sensitivities, overwhelm, and a nervous system that is often working harder to adapt to the demands of everyday life.

Understanding the way your mind works can foster greater self-understanding, self-compassion, and more effective ways of working with your strengths while navigating the challenges that often accompany ADHD, autism, or AuDHD. Together, we explore your experiences with curiosity, developing strategies that feel authentic, sustainable, and tailored to the way you experience the world.

"I've spent years wondering why everyday life seems harder for me than it does for everyone else."
